More About the Subject of these Paintings

The Mezquita Mayor de Granada was built in 2003 and is the first mosque in the city since the 1400s.  From the quiet retreat of its gardens you can see the bell tower of the Church of San Nícolas. This painting speaks to the influence of these religions on the history and development of the city.
